This is the most common question we get. Shade and heat rejection are two separate things — darker tint does not always mean more heat blocked. We can put a completely clear film on your windshield that blocks 95% of the heat, or we can put limo-dark tint on a window that only blocks 30%. When you call or come in, Ryan or Kyle will walk you through both so you can pick what actually fits your situation.

Indiana law requires the front driver and passenger windows to allow at least 30% of light through (30% VLT). Your rear windows and back windshield can be any darkness. The factory rear windows on most new vehicles are typically around 20% — which is why many Lawrence customers just want their front two windows matched to the back. We stay legal on every job and can tell you exactly what shade is allowed before we start.

Yes — this is actually the most common job we do. Most vehicles come from the factory with 20% tint on the rear windows and nothing on the front driver and passenger windows. We match the fronts to the back in 20 to 30 minutes. It makes the car look finished and complete. Just bring it in and we'll match it.
