Same-Day Window Tinting Indianapolis

Back to Blog

You want your car tinted and you don't want to leave it somewhere all day. We get it. Most people ask "how long does it take" before they ask anything else. The good news: same-day window tinting is how we work. Most cars are in and out in under an hour. Here's what to expect.

How Long Does Window Tinting Actually Take?

This is the number one question we get on the phone. Here's how long each job typically takes:

  • Front two windows only: 20-30 minutes
  • Full car or truck (all sides + rear): 45 minutes to 1 hour
  • Full vehicle + windshield: about 1.5 hours
  • Tint removal + retint: 1.5-2 hours depending on condition

You can wait in our lobby while it's done. We have a TV and cold water. Most customers are surprised how fast it goes. "In and out" is the phrase we hear most in our reviews — because that's exactly how it works.

When Is Same-Day Tinting Realistic?

Most days. If you call in the morning, we can usually get you in the same day or next day. Walk-ins are welcome too — but calling ahead locks in your spot. Saturdays fill up fast because everyone works during the week. If Saturday is the only day that works for you, book early in the week.

We're open Tuesday through Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm. We're on Emerson Ave near 465 in the Beech Grove area.

Can You Wait While It's Done?

Yes. That's how most of our customers do it. You drop the car off, wait in the lobby for 45 minutes to an hour, and drive away. No one has to pick you up. No one has to bring you back later. As long as you can afford an hour of your time, you're good.

For fronts only — matching the front two windows to the back — most people are done before they finish scrolling their phone. It's a 20-30 minute job.

What About the Curing Period?

You can drive your car right away after the tint is done. But don't roll the windows down for three to five days. The film needs that time to cure as the moisture between the glass and film evaporates.

You might see small water bubbles or a slight haze during the first few days. That's completely normal. It clears up on its own. In summer it cures in two to three days. In colder months it can take up to a week. Don't poke the bubbles — they go away.

Fast Doesn't Mean Rushed

There's a difference between fast and rushed. A rushed job means cutting corners — lifting edges, bubbles, poor coverage around defroster lines. That's what you get at a shop trying to cram eight cars into one day.

Kyle has been tinting since 2009. He's fast because he's done thousands of vehicles, not because he's skipping steps. The install is clean, the edges are sealed, and every car gets a final inspection before you get your keys back. Every car also leaves with a free wash.
