Office Window Tinting — Zero Downtime
Every business owner asks the same question: do I have to close while you do the work? The answer is no. Not for an hour. Not for a day. Your business runs normally the entire time. Here's exactly how that works.
Film Goes on the Inside
Window film is applied to the interior surface of the glass. There's no exterior scaffolding. No ladders blocking your entrance. No construction barriers on the sidewalk. Your customers walk in and out normally. Most of them won't even notice the work being done.
This is why window tinting is one of the least disruptive building improvements you can make. Compare it to painting (fumes, wet surfaces, closed areas), HVAC work (noisy, dusty, systems down), or window replacement (the window is literally open during install). Film installation is quiet, clean, and fast.
We Work Around Your Schedule
You tell us when works best. Most commercial installs are scheduled before your business opens, after close, or on weekends. For larger jobs that take a full day, we work section by section so only part of the space is in progress at any time.
We've tinted restaurants during morning prep before the lunch rush. We've done offices before employees arrive at 8 AM. We've handled retail stores on their slowest weekday. Whatever schedule keeps your business running is the schedule we use.
Time Estimates by Space Size
- Single storefront door or window: under one hour
- Small office (5-10 windows): 2-4 hours
- Medium retail/storefront (10-20 windows): 4-6 hours
- Large commercial space (20+ windows): 1-2 days, done in sections
- Multi-floor office building: phased over multiple visits to minimize disruption
For larger buildings, we provide a detailed installation schedule before we start. You'll know exactly which areas are being worked on each day so you can plan around it.
No Mess, No Smell, No Noise
This isn't construction. There's no paint, no dust, no chemical smell, and no power tools. We use a soapy water solution to apply the film and a squeegee to bond it to the glass. The area stays clean. A drop cloth catches any drips. We clean up as we go.
There's a short curing period where the film may look slightly hazy — that clears up within a few days as remaining moisture evaporates. The windows are fully functional immediately after installation. You can use the space right away.
What About Employees Working Nearby?
No issue. The installation doesn't produce noise, fumes, or disruption. Employees can work at their desks while we're installing film on windows in the same room. We just need clear access — move any furniture or plants a few feet from the glass before we arrive and the job goes faster.
For open floor plans where moving desks isn't practical, we can work after hours on those sections. We'll coordinate with your office manager to find the least disruptive approach for your specific layout.
What to Tell Your Team
Let employees know that window film is being installed, that it's quiet and non-disruptive, and that windows may look slightly hazy for a few days while the film cures. That's it. No evacuation. No schedule changes. No lost productivity.
